Trad Arts at the People’s Palace
We are delighted to announce a new partnership with the People’s Palace in Glasgow to develop a series of traditional arts workshops for families during the summer period supported by Enterprise Music Scotland’s Trad Arts Small Fund (by funds from Creative Scotland). The project kicks off on the 7th June 2014 with a series of Family Song Workshops with Scots Singer Fiona Hunter. Fun for all the family exploring and learning traditional songs. July sees the first of the holiday workshops with Storyteller, Gerry Durkin for children of all ages. A mixture of tales and songs from around the world, a mixture of traditional and new. Then in August we have performances fromLori Watson and Fiona Black, Michelle Burke’s ‘Come into my Parlour’ and more storytelling with Donald Nelson.
All the workshops are free of charge and drop-in (no ticket or booking required).
