Hands up for Trad’s Business Limelight Award & New Premises

April has already been a very eventful month and we are only four days in!

Glow Arts is honoured to be awarded the Hands up for Trad’s Business Limelight Award which was established to recognise outstanding contributions made by business and organisations who contribute, shape and influence the arts and cultural sector of Scotland. We are the twentieth business to receive the award and you can read our interview with Hands up for Trad here. Sorry it is so long but there is a lot happening!

We have also moved offices in our normal whirlwind fashion! Our fantastic landlords at BAaD approached us earlier this week to see if we might be interested in a bigger space that had become vacant after noticing that we were rapidly running out of space due to all the lovely The Braw Wee Emporium Stock. So we viewed the unit on Tuesday and moved on Friday, and back trading today. The new unit, which is just across the courtyard with the main entrance on Stevenson Street, gives us almost double the space with more floor space downstairs, storage and more desk space on the mezzanine levels. This will allow us to accommodate a wider variety of activities including workshops, gigs, meetings, rehearsals etc. and the amount of stock we can take for the Emporium of Folk, Jazz and Acoustic music and products from Scottish Designers and Makers. Watch this space for more info in the near future once we’ve settled in.

Hope your all having a fantastic Easter Weekend!
